Hmm, should be an interesting project.
P.S. Your new art style sample reminds me of when we first got the Pictionary board game.

Well, looking through the early comics, I am guessing that one of his eye powers is some sort of illusion effect like Veil.
Though, in comic #8 it looks like he is shooting apples out of several of his eyestalks.
You know... you'd think choking an imp would be more dangerous... tail and all.
/reads onward
Hmm... a hint on #13 that he might not have others, kind of supporting the thing on #8.
#28 reminds me of something in I tyrant which mentions the foolishness of trying to throw a blanket on a beholder:
Then again, I suppose that wouldn't work too well with apples.
Anyhow, the only other reference I can find to eye powers is:
Anywhere near the mark?

D*mn! Elera iz hawt! I'm guessing the other two powers of Tchick's are True Seeing and the ability to disguise himself as Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy. That's about right, right there. Though his "true sight" is signicantly more powerful than the spell, which would be rendered ineffective in the mazes. Anyhow, the only other reference I can find to eye powers is: Anywhere near the mark? The last bit is mostly referencing his Telekinesis and Create Apple powers. As for the blanket thing, I had never read that, but since the blanket wouldn't be bound around the beholder, just tossed over, he would still have an advantage. Tchick was blindfolded while unconscious. It's possible I showed the wrong eye doing it at times, but Tchick's known powers are: Top Right: Create Apple Bottom Right: Telekinesis Middle Left: (As JadedDM reported) Polymorph into Dr. McCoy. Central: Super True Sight. As for the rest of his eyes... time will tell! (for reference, Tchick has 8 eye stalks, and one central eye. Two of his eyes look behind him) -- Oh, and about the imps! Frankly, other than the ones in the Monstrous Manual, all the imps we ever ran into in Planescape seemed to forget they had poison stingers. As such, all the ones I've drawn don't, either. That makes it a loss less dangerous

Well, tchick is hardly a standard beholder, and doesn't really have anything known which would blast through a blindfold. And, since telekinesis can't do advanced things like untying knots, a blindfold could probably work.
Besides, he also seems rather small for a beholder.
As for the polymorph thing... I guess I had assumed it was illusory even though the guy called it polymorph since it seemed to dispel the moment he was touched. Was it ever established though, that it was Dr. McCoy/only him?
The true sight thing though... I guess I totally missed that one.
Admittedly, I stopped going through the comics when I thought I had them all, as I hadn't recalled Tchick ever actually using telekinesis during the comic unless you count the apples.

I have never understood why they gave imps that insanely potent poison. They would have been the perfect low to lower mid level introduction to agents of the lower planes if they didn't have insta-kill.
Similarly, it amazes me that someone decided to make Quasits worth more XP even though they are far less dangerous.

In episode 2 he was levitating a dog and a bag of money.

The true sight thing was not shown, merely mentioned by the Witch, and by the fact that Tchick was able to just "walk" right out of the Mazes.
I had intended the polymorph thing to indeed be polymorph. He dispelled it himself to escape capture, as the Black Robe had him by the legs. Also, I really didn't even see that as Dr. McCoy until Jaded said something, but it's rather hilarious. He can shift into other forms, but not of larger or smaller size.

Yeah, the imp/quasit thing never made sense. And I don't think any of the imps that have appeared in the Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights series have had poison, either.

There really is a striking resemblance to McCoy though... Subconscious hard at work?
I guess I just missed the witch comment, and as for the maze thing, I had just seen that one as a joke.
-----
I think the XP thing is the way it is with them mainly because their system is based on the chart in the 2e DMG.
The Quasit has more numerous and powerful spells, and a venom of its own. So, each of those things bumps it up a category even if the imps poison is far more dangerous than everything the Quasit has combined.

I noticed the resemblence to Bones right away. I was never sure if it was intentional or not. I was wondering if at some point he'd say, "I'm a beholder, not a doctor!"
As for imps, I always just use mephits. They're so much cooler than standard imps and quasits in my opinion, anyway.

Is Elera systematically elminating her friends in order to get some alone time with Meleras? Gasp!
Hey, I wonder how you execute a beholder? Hang him? No. Guillotine? Errr, kind of tricky. But maybe the Mercykillers have developed new and exciting ways to kill people (and things).

Re: Comic 67
Hilarious!
This actually happened to me once. The party had been captured and imprisoned. One PC tried to bend the bars of the window. He was the party fighter, though, not the mage. Despite this, his STR of 15 only gave him a 7% chance to succeed, and lo and behold, he rolls a natural 7.

Yeah... the guy who made that roll became somewhat notorious in our group for his dice-rolling skills. It didn't matter the game. AD&D, Axis and Allies, Monopoly, any game that used dice was his friend, lol.

Yep. And it just goes to show...when diplomacy, stealth, and clever ideas don't work, just start killing guards left and right!

Been a while since I posted here last.
I have to say, I really enjoyed the last two comics, especially Archimedes, who seems to be the cynical and slightly sarcastic voice of reason trying to slip its voice in... but being ignored.
I also love the 1% bend bars thing. While I have seen more than one low chance success happen, I have never seen it happen where the weakest, or even one of the weakest characters in a group was the one to bend bars or the like.
All things considered, I have to say 67 is one of my favorites thus far.

70 came out nice.
I was going to make a 'hot chick' joke but I think you covered them all. So I'll just say this instead:
"The Elemental Plane of Fire hath no fury like a woman scorned."
